Jim,
Interesting to hear that you are moving to Albuquerque – my home town. Last of family there passed last year, but I still visit a couple of times a year. If you haven’t already done so, I’m hoping that you might reach out to my friend Michelle Hoch who heads up the newly formed East Mountain Strummers ukulele club. They operate out of Edgewood, in the canyon east of Albuquerque. She feels a bit intimidated being new to Albuquerque herself, and not well plugged in there yet.
If you ever find your way back to the Seattle area, please know that we at SUPA are always happy to have you do a workshop for us.
And I still consider Albuquerque to be “home”, born and raised there, now living in Illinois. I return frequently for feeding my mountain and blue ski “fix”. As for the chile—we bring it to Illinois every year so my husband doesn’t have to deal with the withdrawals that I would go through!!
You will enjoy!!
