A great way to learn a tricky chord progression is to learn the structure of the song using the Number System.
Steve Goodman’s classic City of New Orleans has seven chords and a few surprise changes but using this system
you’ll train your ears to become familiar with the voice of each chord and be able to hear it when it comes around in the song.
