Today the at 3 Chord Club we’ll learn three songs from an icon of blue-eyed soul, Van Morrison. All the songs have a basic three-chord progression and one bonus minor chord. Remember, when a minor chord is introduced into a basic three-chord progression it will most likely be built on the 3rd or 6th note of the major scale of the key the song is in. In the key of C Major, for example, the iii minor chord would be e minor and the vi minor would be a minor.
Intro Lick: Play Do-Re-Mi-Re-Do on the I and IV and I chord then Sol-Do-Mi-Sol on the V chord.
