The Newport Ukulele Tune Strummers have set their inaugural meeting for Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the Visual Arts Center, 777 W. Olive St., Newport, Oregon. Formed by myself and local artist and uker Tash Wesp, N.U.T.S. will begin to remedy an almost non-existent uke scene on the Oregon coast. The plan is to meet the first Wednesday of each month.
