Today we debut a new feature entitled Uke Spotlight which will alternate with the 3 Questions interview segment on Mondays. Our first guest in the spotlight is the original “Cool Hand Uke” himself, Mr. Dan Scanlan. Dan has been playing ukulele for over half a century and his knowledge of the origins, history and repertoire of the ukulele are unmatched.

I was fortunate enough recently to spend some time with Dan at his home in Grass Valley, California and take a fascinating journey into the soul of the ukulele.
