Great presentation of number system. Are you aware of the Mighty Uke Day in “old town” of Lansing Michigan? Celebrating 4th year this year. May 9-10 2014.

  2. Vic says:

WOW..the number system you explained just turned light on in my head. I too like to visual of the spaces between the numbers.

  3. Maryann says:

    Hi~
I got lost when you said “build the F chord.” We had not used the G-string. Or, maybe I’m not seeing your fingering clearly.
Thanks so much. Your basic lesson series is great.

    Jim
Just got home from Ron Saul’s and picking up a uke he built for our son. Before I got on the train to head to Seattle I got through 15 of the lessons in your series. I had to send you a note to compliment you on this series. You are clear and focused on each one. It is not too much nor too little, very digestible…
It is going to be difficult to turn this uke over to my son. I think I will have to find an instrument for me now. Might even see if Rom would build me one.
Thanks for what you have contributed to the music world. Your gift of these lesson is truly in the spirit of music.

  5. Michael Matus says:

I get the numbering system but why was it a G7 and not a G chord? I’m retired and trying to learn to play the ukulele. Your website is very helpful. Great lesson in a bite size format. Now if you could only help with my stiff fingers.

  6. Johanna M Novak says:

Wish I could have viewed this. Many of your lessons are not coming up, but the ones that do are great!!
